Optimizing Adobe Media Encoder Settings To Be Used With Suite

Achieve best performance with Adobe Media Encoder and Suite

Updated this week

Set your Media & Disk Cache

  • Go to Preferences > Media

  • Ensure Media Cache and Cache Database are not set to the Suite drive

Increase RAM Allocation

In Preferences > Memory, let Adobe Media Encoder use more RAM.

💡 Pro Tip: During export, Adobe After Effects, Adobe Premiere Pro or Adobe Media Encoder (AME) may generate temporary files—such as .m4v, .m4a, and files with _00_ in the filename. These are significantly larger than the final .mp4 file and are only created to be used to multiplex audio and video streams into the final .mp4

If your internet connection isn’t fast enough to upload these large temporary files in the background quickly, try exporting to a local directory first. Once the export is complete, you can then copy the final file into the Suite drive.
