Installing Suite on Mac with macFUSE

Description

As of April 15, 2025, macFUSE is no longer required to use with Suite, making installation much easier. If you still need macFUSE to use Suite, follow the steps below. More on macFUSE here.

Reasons to use Suite with macFUSE

  1. Your host application requires hardlinks. Creating hardlinks on macOS only works when mounting Suite with macFUSE.

  2. You're using macOS 10.15-12.7.6 and cannot update to macOS 13 or newer.

Steps to get Suite running with macFUSE

  1. If you haven't already, download and install Suite from here.

  2. Download and install macFUSE for:

    1. macOS 15 (Sequoia) and older - macFUSE 4.8.0

    2. macOS 26 (Tahoe) and newer - macFUSE 5.7.0

  3. Run this command in Terminal:

    suite config set -k FUSELESS -v false
  4. Quit-then-relaunch the Suite application to apply the change.

Not sure which Mac you're using?

Click the Apple icon in the top-left corner of your screen, select About This Mac, and look for the Chip listed there.
