Installing Suite on Mac with macFUSE

As of April 15th 2025, Suite operates by default on Macs without the use of macFUSE. This update makes installing Suite on Mac significantly easier. If you need to continue using Suite in this mode follow the steps below. More on macFUSE here.

ℹ If you have macFUSE 4.8.0 already installed on your machine Suite will continue to use macFUSE by default.

Reasons to use Suite with macFUSE

  1. If you utilize an application that requires the creation of hardlinks. Creating hardlinks on Mac only works when running Suite with macFUSE.

  2. You're running macOS 10.15-11.7.10 and are unable to update your Mac to macOS 12 and above.

Steps to get Suite running with macFUSE

  1. If you have not already - Install Suite here

  2. Select the guide for your Mac version:

If you are unsure if you are on an Intel or M1/M2/M3/M4 Mac, click the Apple icon on the top left of your home screen and select “About This Mac” and reference the "Chip" information.
