What is Bring Your Own Storage (BYO)?
Bring Your Own Storage (BYO), allows users or organizations to leverage pre-existing Cloud Service Provider (CSP) accounts while enjoying the benefits and features of our platform.
How does it work?
First, sign up for the BYO plan and let us know what CSP you're using.
We'll then send you instructions to create the object storage bucket, policies, access keys, and anything else needed in order to set up your account.
Eligibility and Pricing
Have an existing CSP.
Have a minimum of 15 TB of active storage.
The price for BYO Suite Storage is $40 per TB per month. Your CSP will charge you separately for storing the data and any other associated fees.
Why would a team choose BYO over Suite's managed service?
Potential Cost Savings: If a team has a great pre-existing deal with a CSP they may see cost savings from going with the BYO option.
Data Sovereignty and Compliance: Some teams may have requirements that data remain within specific CSP accounts or align with particular requirements.
