What is resizing?
Resizing means increasing or decreasing the computing power of your workstation by changing its CPU, RAM, and GPU.
Your Suite Workstation may be scaled up or down based on your project's requirements during each edit session. Your Suite Workstation can be resized as often as you'd like, as the requirements of your project change.
If you have multiple workstations in your Suite account, each workstation may be a different size.
Which workstation size should I start with?
We encourage you to use the cheapest workstation that allows you to get your work done efficiently. You'll need less computing power to edit a short HD video than you would need for 3D animation work. Keep in mind that the more powerful the workstation, the more credits are used.
Knowing which workstation size is best for your project's needs may take some trial and error. To help you get started, here are our recommendations:
Workstation Size | Usage | Specs |
Not as Fast | Administrative tasks, installing applications, organizing files, HD proxy editing | CPU: 8 cores |
Fast | HD or 4K native editing, color correction, basic After Effects | CPU: 16 cores |
Faster | 4K or 8K editing, 3D rendering, advanced After Effects | CPU: 32 cores |
Fastest
| Heavy rendering, demanding animation work, accelerated rendering | CPU: 64 cores |
Multi GPU - Fast | Animation and graphics programs than can utilize multiple up to 4 GPUs | CPU: 48 cores |
Multi GPU - Faster | Animation and graphics programs than can utilize multiple up to 4 GPUs | CPU: 96 cores |
Multi GPU - Fastest* | Animation and graphics programs than can utilize multiple up to 8 GPUs | CPU: 192 cores |

How do I resize my workstation?
To resize your workstation, first ensure that the workstation is powered down completely. Then, select the workstation in the dashboard and select "Resize Workstation."
You'll now see a list of workstation sizes available to you. If you hover the mouse over each selection, you'll see a small popup that indicates the machine's specs.
Select the desired workstation size and click "Confirm Change." And, that's it! Now your workstation has been resized.
If I resize my workstation, does my workstation get wiped?
No, when you resize your workstation, your workstation's installed applications, preferences, and files will remain the same. Think of resizing a workstation as swapping a computer's RAM, GPU, or CPU; the files on the computer remain, but the physical components inside of the machine have been changed.
