Optimize local cache settings

Configure your cache settings for optimal performance.

Updated over a week ago

Our recommendations are:

  1. Point the cache to either an internal or external solid-state drive (Suite does not work with hard disk drives or HDDs).

  2. Ensure the SSD is not formatted as exFAT. For best performance, we recommend formatting your drive as NTFS (Windows), APFS (Mac), or Ext3/4 and above (Linux). For more information on drive format click here.

  3. Allocate as much storage as you can spare. With a larger cache, frequently accessed data can be retrieved quickly, drastically improving application performance and reducing latency.

To update your cache settings:

Navigate to the main menu and click “Cache Settings”

You will see the cache is pre-set at 250 GB and by default, the cache location is pointed to a folder we create on your hard drive.

You can update these settings based on our recommendations at any time.
